we're hiring software engineers.
we're Versaunt (versatile + savant). we build autonomous, self-learning AI agents that create, run, and optimize advertising for businesses across Meta, Google, TikTok, and Amazon. with more platforms coming.
we just closed our pre-seed. now we're deploying it to build the team that helps us scale.
we don't hire often. so this is a rare one.
you'd be one of our first engineers, working directly with me, Keylem Collier and my cofounder Greg Steckel. no layers, no bureaucracy. you ship it, it's live, customers feel it the same day.
what you'd be building
this is a big, fast-moving codebase. most of it is backend. a lot of it is AI. we're orchestrating autonomous agents, wiring up video and image generation models, building deep integrations across Meta, Google, TikTok, and Amazon, and rebuilding chatbots from the ground up.
the hard part isn't any single piece. it's the connections. there's a web of backend logic and relationships running across the whole system, and you have to be able to hold it in your head, reason about it, and make smart architectural calls under pressure.
this is systems thinking, top to bottom. critical thinking. thoughtfulness. being proactive instead of waiting to be told what to do.
you'll mostly live in the backend, but you have to be able to move across the stack and own frontend when the work calls for it.
the stack
- Next.js + TypeScript
- Supabase
- a little Google Cloud
- a lot of AI: agent orchestration, video gen, image gen, platform APIs
who we want
someone hungry. incredibly motivated, incredibly passionate, and looking for a startup to throw themselves into.
we're hiring recent grads and current college students. what matters more than years on a resume is drive, judgment, and the ability to think.
we especially want to hear from:
- former founders, including the ones whose startups didn't make it. if you built something and it failed, you learned things we want on this team.
- former startup CTOs and technical founders who've already lived in the deep end
- engineers who've worked at startups before and know what the pace actually feels like
- people who've shipped their own apps to the app store
important context
this is going to be hard. 50-60 hour weeks are the norm here. everyone on the team is already working them. we move fast, the bar is high, and the work is demanding.
we want people who want the grind.
the upside: we're a small team that's good at what we do and has a real amount of fun doing it. the problems are some of the most interesting in AI right now. and for the right person, the equity could matter a lot down the line.
logistics
- full time, starting late june/early july
- 100% in person in Midtown, Atlanta. this is not hybrid and not remote. if you don't live in Atlanta or aren't ready to move here, please don't apply.
- salary + equity + insurance + benefits
- occasional team retreats where we travel and build together for about a week at a time. think San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Tampa.
